Poster Pole Gallery

“Poster Pole Gallery” is a Community Art Project by Argyle Fine Art During the summer of 2021. Inspired by COVID-19 and the need for creativity this project was intended to beautify downtown Halifax one utility pole at a time!

For this project artists were asked to submit a non-advertising poster design. I decided to go with a “lock-down” inspired poster, looking at how lock-down made many people feel overwhelmed and lost in the day to day routine of being home.

Personally I found the 2020 lockdown to actually heal my creativity, it gave me the time and mental space to let my ideas flourish. To describe this feeling visually I used the idea of a blossoming mind and took inspiration from coral and forest foliage.
